A real-time gardening sim may sound pretty dull at first. But once you dress that concept up in the bright colours and cute characters of Hey, Shu! it's a little more inviting.

You play a little fluff ball called Shu that rolls over the ground and enriches it with life. She can also spread the seeds of plants to create a bigger garden.

If that doesn't grab you, then the game's emergent story might. As you breathe life back into this small planet, you'll uncover the relics of an ancient civilisation.

You can also find machines that alter the ecosystem to restore the planet back to its former state.

You slowly unravel the mysteries of the game's setting, including finding out what connection Shu has to this planet.

You'll have to dedicate yourself Hey, Shu! to find this side of the game, as it's played in real-time. When it's night in the real world, it will be night inside the game. Plus, plants grow over a number of days.

Hey, Shu! is up on Kickstarter where $20,000 is being sought to finish development of the game.

You can grab a copy of Hey, Shu! on Android for $5, which comes with a code to unlock bonuses in the game. The code will work on iOS versions of the game, too.
