Sit down young pocket gamer, it's time that we have a chat about where babies come from.

You see, when a man is chosen as a Disciple of the Star Gods he can combine his - erm... powers with that of other Disciples to create Star Children.

These plucky progeny then take their parents' skills and lead the turn-based charge against the vile monsters of the Pandora Labyrinth.

That's the basic gameplay of Conception II, a Spike Chunsoft game being published by Atlus USA for the 3DS and PS Vita.

Passing your skills onto your children in an RPG is hardly a new concept - it worked quite well in Fire Emblem: Awakening - but Conception II puts the process on fast-forward.

You can, and should, form bonds with all seven available female Disciples to churn out stronger and more versatile Star Children, which spring into being ready to fight monsters and save the world.

Thankfully, this means there are no diaper changings or college funds to worry about - but you do need to be concerned about where your Star Children are looking. Each monster has vulnerabilities based on the direction that characters attack form, so careful positioning is key.

Conception II has a due date of Spring 2014 in North America, with the 3DS and Vita copies both being priced at $39.99 (~£25) a piece.

We'll keep you updated with news of a European release if and when we have it. For additional information, be sure to check out the Conception II website.
