Time to harvest your crops as Farming Simulator 14 goes live on iOS and Android

Do you hear that mighty engine rumbling? Can you smell the manure in the air?

That can only mean one thing: it's time for Farming Simulator 14.

As we told you last month, today is the day that Giants Software's Farming Simulator 14 ploughs onto iOS and Android.

This latest instalment in the agricultural series is all about driving tractors; planting wheat, canola, and corn; and selling it all at market for a profit.

You can also mow, ted, and windrow grass in order to create hay bales with which to feed your cows. You can then sell the milk they produce for money. Or you can sell the grass for another source of income.

Farming Simulator 14 is the first in the series to boast an open-world co-op mode, so you can play with a friend via Bluetooth or wi-fi.

If you need a helping hand and don't have a friend around, you can also hire AI-controlled farmworkers to tend to your ever-increasing harvest.

You can pick up Farming Simulator 14 on the App Store right now for £1.99 / $2.99 [buy], or on Google Play for £2.20 / $2.99 [buy].

Farming Simulator 14 will also be surfacing on Windows Phone 8, Windows 8, and Kindle before the year is out. You can also expect the game to go live on Vita and 3DS in spring 2014.
