Customise a robot army to fight off aliens in Liv Games's new iOS game Stellar Wars
Robotic revenge
Liv Games has swapped out the undead armies and cave spiders of Bronze Award-winning Legendary Wars for robots and aliens in spiritual successor Stellar Wars.
The proven strategy defence gameplay of Liv Games's Wars series is present and accounted for here.
This time around, however, you're playing a side-scrolling space shooter. There's even some hoverboarding.
So, you'll follow the remnants of a robot civilisation as they try to return to their former glory. This involves flying between ten planets and across 50 levels, and taking part in a war against invading aliens. As you do.
You, RobotDuring battles, you'll command a single unit in your robot army, using its abilities to hopefully come out on top.
You can customise and upgrade each unit in your army as you wish. It's a good idea to have different types available so you're prepared for various battle scenarios.
For instance, you'll need different tactics for fighting a giant space worm than you'll need for tackling a small group of land troops.
What really sets Stellar Wars apart from Liv Games's previous games, though, is the sheer variety of level types.
You'll be able to fly a spaceship in the game's shooter sequences, for one. There are also runner sections, hack 'n' slash parts, planetary defence elements, and the aforementioned hoverboarding.
Yep, there's a lot to explore in Stellar Wars. So, if you're keen to jump in, you can find it on the App Store now, priced £1.49 / $1.99.
