Nintendo Direct: Miiverse and YouTube are coming to 3DS in December
Plus: Mario Party dated! Animal Crossing Plaza! Team Ogre Attacks dated!
Another Nintendo Direct session was carried out today in order to divulge the details of the software launching on the 3DS in early 2014.
Miiverse and YouTubeBefore getting on to the subject of next year, Nintendo announced an update for the 3DS coming this December.
This update adds Miiverse and YouTube functionality to the handheld.
Merging accountsYou'll be able to register your Nintendo Network ID (or create one for the first time) and merge your accounts across 3DS and the Wii U.
This will be very handy if you have any outlying balances on either console, as you spend them on games for the other console, if you wish.
Parties between worldsThe Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and Mario Party: Island Tour will launch in the US eShop on November 22nd.
The European eShop will not be graced with the presence of Mario Party: Island Tour until January 1th 2014.
Bravely DefaultBravely Default and a newly announced Collector's Edition will be available in the US on February 7th 2014.
The Collector's Edition will include the game, an art book, 34 augmented reality cards, and an original soundtrack CD. It will not have the figurine that is included in the European Collector's Edition.
Layton hits the USWe're privileged enough to already have the Silver Award-winning Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy in Europe. But don't fret our US chums, you'll get the finale to the second Layton trilogy on February 28th.
Animal Crossing Plaza tomorrowAs has been mentioned before during Nintendo Direct, the US has Animal Crossing Plaza for New Leaf on the Wii U.
In Plaza, you can see other characters inside he game, read messages from other players, post screenshots from the 3DS game, and get costume QR codes.
Today, it was announced that Animal Crossing Plaza will be available in Europe on November 14th, which is tomorrow.
Ogre AttacksFans of the series will be pleased to hear that Inazuma Eleven 3: Team Ogre Attacks, is set to launch on the 3DS in Europe on February 24th.
This follows the Silver Award-winning Inazuma Eleven 3: Bomb Blast / Lightning Bolt. Let's hope it Team Ogre Attacks can live up to what came before it.
StreetPass
Throughout November and December, you'll be able to StreetPass with the last six players encountered.
You'll also be able to pick up exclusive SpotPass content at Nintendo Zone locations. So, enjoy that if it applies to you.
