Wadjet Eye confirms November 21st release date for The Shivah: Kosher Edition on iOS
Say a prayer
We already knew that Wadjet Eye Games was working on an iOS version of its 2006 PC adventure game The Shivah.
What we didn't know, however, was it would get a graphical overhaul. Oh, and that Wadjet Eye would compose a new soundtrack for it.
Wadjet Eye has confirmed that The Shivah: Kosher Edition will debut on PC, Mac, and iOS on November 21st. It'll cost $1.99 on the App Store.
In terms of gameplay and story, this new version of The Shivah is identical to the 2006 original. It's just the presentation that's been given a bit of a polish.
If you were wondering, by the way, the iOS version of the game does indeed boast a touchscreen-friendly interface.
In The Shivah, we follow Russell Stone, a struggling Rabbi whose synagogue in New York City is short of funds and members.
Just as he's about to close shop, Stone receives a generous donation from a recently deceased ex-member of his congregation. Wrestling with his conscience, Stone investigates the source of the money, and uncovers a murder mystery.
Wadjet Eye also announced recently that it's porting its upcoming adventure game finale The Blackwell Epiphany to iOS.
That won't be available until early 2014, mind. The Shivah: Kosher Edition should keep you going until then, however.
