A great week for Europeans

Hey, this makes a change. For once, there is actually a whole pile of new games available for the Nintendo 3DS eShop this week. So that's rather pleasant.

The European store has the advantage for new games, thanks to an injection of puzzles, Professor Layton-style.

However, the US store gets some neat Atlus-based discounts this week, so it's all balanced out in the end.

Let's see what we've got, then.

European eShop releases

Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy is the sixth, and final, game in the wonderful Layton series.

Shed a tear, but also go and buy it - it's super good, and the branching, non-linear storylines are very cool indeed. You can buy it on the eShop for £39.99, but let's be honest, you'll be able to find it at retail for cheaper.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is another big one this week - a handheld game to tie-in with the recent console release.

We got hold of review code a couple of days ago, so we should have a review for you soon. If you can't wait, the game costs £34.99 to download.

I'm told that Regular Show is a TV series in the US, and that Regular Show: Mordecai & Rigby in 8-Bit Land is a 3DS game centred around a blue jay and a raccoon.

I have no idea what is going on, but I'm going to have a review for you soon. The game costs £28.49 which is an odd price.

Meanwhile, expect to find My Little Baby 3D, Brunch Panic, and Arcade Classics 3D also on the eShop this week. There's also a music workstation app called KORG M01D for £19.99, in case that's your cup of tea.

US eShop releases

Kid Icarus: Uprising isn't new, but it is now available digitally via the eShop. Which, you know, is sort of nice.

Otherwise, the US eShop is pretty tame. There's a match-3 game called 4 Elements, ball-blasting game Luxor, and the aptly named My Baby Pet Hotel 3D.

Add to that Crazy Chicken: Director's Cut 3D, KORG M01D, Secret Agent Files: Miami and Wario's Woods, and well, it ain't so grand on the US eShop this week.

But wait! Atlus has cut $10 off the prices of both Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan and Code of Princess, so perhaps you might want to grab those.

Back again next week.
