Ludosity decided that The Legend of Zelda games could do with some reappropriation.

As such, Ittle Dew has been forged with a bit of a boast, that being: "Ittle Dew boils down the classic adventure formula until there is only fun left."

Implying that not all parts of the Zelda games are fun? Scandalous. Maybe there's something in this, though.

You'll get to find out yourselves very soon, as the iOS and Android versions of Ittle Dew are arriving this November. About time, too.

Ittle Dew is a top-down adventure puzzle game about the piratical Dew and her flying fox-thing Tippsie. They're looking to steal gold from the natives of the island they crash landed on, and then hastily get back to the ocean life.

It's your fairly typical dungeon crawl, with item-based puzzles, plenty of sword slashing, and gear collecting. The game knows what it is too, and doesn't hesitate to poke fun at its familiarity.

Games with a sense of humour are always appreciated. And Ittle Dew has lots of it within the dialogue exchanges. It's sharp, and on point, much like its mechanics are intended to be.

As things have been boiled down here, there's only three base items/weapons, but they can be combined in hundreds of ways to discover new effects. Sharp, yes, but not at the cost of depth.

Anyway, now you know what Ittle Dew is about, you just have to wait a little until next month to get a closer look at those cartoon visuals.
