We've all been there. You're hanging out with some mates, and for whatever reason, there's nothing to do. But now there's an app for that, as they (used to) say.

Tiny Games is an adaptive social games generator that suggests games for you to play according to your surroundings and company.

"You tell the app where you are, who you’re with and what’s to hand, and it supplies a game to fit," it's developer explains on the website.

Maybe you're walking home with a co-worker, at a pub with a bunch of friends, or having a family picnic - Tiny Games should have a game for every situation.

Games even adapt to different moods, such as serious or silly. And expect to grab spoons, sofas, books, and even turnips, if they're to hand. Some will test your knowledge, and you can use the app as a timer.

Some of the real-world games have even been designed by the likes of SuperBetter’s Jane McGonigal, QWOP’s Bennett Foddy, and Johann Sebastian Joust’s Doug Wilson.

While there's dozens of games available for free, these are limited to ones you can play in the home.

So if you want games to play in other locations, you can pay £1.49 for the Work Games Pack, or £3.99 for the All Games Pack. Hide&Seek plans to keep adding more games to the packs and the free version, too.

Download Tiny Games on the App Store [download] right now and see what games it comes up with.
