Batman, a bear, and a zombie walk into a polling booth... (And the winner is...)

[Update] The PG Readers' iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed
|
Updated on October 21st at 12:20: The votes have been tallied, the tally has been checked, the check has been vetted, and the vetted check has been checked by a vet to make sure the vetting was correct, and I can now announced that this week's winner is Fist of Awesome.

The game is all about punching bears in the face. You also punch some deer and moose, but bears bear the brunt of your rage as you travel through time to try and fix the future.

Punches and kicks are handled with some clever swipes and taps, and your specially powered-up fist can unleash some painful justice by holding a finger on the screen.

The pixel-art graphics are great, the sound effects are wondrous, and the jokes come thick and fast in this side-scrolling romp through a bear-infested universe.

At review we gave the game a Bronze Award and said that "it's beautifully put together and full of laughs, but the violence in Fist of Awesome gets old a little too quickly."

You can grab the game from the App Store for £2.49 / $3.99 [buy] or from the Google Play Store for £2.50 / $3.78 [buy].
