Out now: Explore fantastic realms in Tin Man Games's Spellcaster: Forgotten Spell for Android and iOS

If world domination were based on the number of excellent digital gamebooks a company had on the App Store, then we'd all have to pay fealty to Tin Man Games.

And the Australia-based developer isn't resting on its laurels, oh no. In fact, it's just released a new gamebook aimed at younger readers.

It's called Spellcaster: Forgotten Spell, and it's available on the App Store and the Google Play Store right now.

The game is based on the first book of the Spellcaster trilogy, which was written by Louisa Dent Pearce. She had the following to say about this new game.

"The adaptation of the Spellcaster gamebooks into a Tin Man Games app is an exciting development in the creation of the series."

"Playing the app is quite a different experience to reading the print version, as Tin Man has included a beautifully designed interface and music soundtrack that really adds to the experience of exploring Suidemor," Pearce added.

The art in the digital version of Forgotten Spell is by Tony Hough, who's best known for his work on Warhammer and Fighting Fantasy. You can check out some screenshots for the game in the gallery at the top of the page.

Spellcaster: Forgotten Spell is available on the App Store [buy] and the Google Play Store [buy] right now. It'll set you back £2.49 / $3.99.
