Pre-order Hometown Story before October 22 and you get to pick your plushie

Emerald Green, Ruby Red, or Sunny Yellow Embers await

Pre-order Hometown Story before October 22 and you get to pick your plushie

We already knew that Harvest Moon creator Yasuhiro Wada's upcoming 3DS game Hometown Story had a lot to offer fans of simulation-based games.

And no - we're not just talking about the talents of Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu and the equally legendary Pokemon character designer Atsuko Nishida, both of whom contributed to the game.

We're talking, of course, about pre-order bonuses.

With a US release date of October 22 confirmed by Natsume, the biggest challenge Hometown Story fans will face now is deciding where to pre-order the game from as that choice determines the colour of the Ember dragon plushie which accompanies the game.

$39.99 will buy you the retail release of the game, and pre-ordering from GameStop will get you the Emerald Green Ember plushie above left, while a pre-order from Amazon will secure you the Ruby Red version above right.

If you pre-order directly from Natsume, you can secure the Sunny Yellow Ember or you can wait for the Premium Edition (which retails for $49.99) and get the massive 11" long Pochica plushie at the center of the above picture.

No matter which colour plushie you decide to pre-order, you'll receive the same simulation-based game that puts you in charge of turning a dusty, old shop into the toast of the fantasy town in which it's located.

A separate release of Hometown Story is also planned for iOS - but that one doesn't come with a plushie.
