Zeboyd Games seeks $100,000 on Kickstarter to finish off Vita-bound turn-based RPG Cosmic Star Heroine

Shocking as it may seem, Zeboyd Games hasn't added a stretch goal for a Vita version of Cosmic Star Heroine to its Kickstarter campaign.

That's primarily because the indie dev has already confirmed that its turn-based sci-fi Japanese-style RPG will be released on Sony's powerhouse portable.

Zeboyd has quickly become synonymous with retro-style RPGs, including Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World.

Cosmic Star Heroine doesn't represent a massive change of direction for the studio, then.

In the futuristic Cosmic Star Heroine, you will play as a spy for the galactic government called Alyssa L'Salle. When she uncovers a secret plot by her employers, they reveal her identity and make her the subject of unwanted fan attention.

It also means that there's now a big bounty hanging over Alyssa's head. The criminals that she's helped to imprison down the years are after revenge. Yep, she's in great danger.

Cosmic Star Heroine will involve some turn-based party battling. You'll also have to follow intriguing plotlines across a beautifully realised sci-fi metropolis.

Zeboyd is hoping to raise $100,000 from its Kickstarter campaign in order to pay for the programming, audio, and artwork that is needed to finish the game.

You can donate £6 / $10 for a PSN code on its Kickstarter page, but only North American codes are available at the moment. Work is being done to obtain European ones, too, though, so keep an eye out.

We expect Cosmic Star Heroine to surface on desktops, PS4, and Vita im 2014. Presuming the funding target is reached, of course.
