Gaijin Games has just published the first screenshots for its upcoming iOS port of PC game BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien.

Thankfully, by the way, it's shortened the name of the iOS version of the game to Bit.Trip Run! This isn't just for reasons of brevity, mind. It's because the company has tweaked the mobile version in a few ways.

First off, there's a new control scheme for Bit.Trip Run! for iOS. So, you can now control the frantic sprinter with a single finger, tapping and swiping to negotiate the obstacles that fall in front of you.

With this new control scheme in mind, Gaijin Games has redesigned the levels. You will now have to navigate the game's sundry hindrances with finger-swiping precision.

There'll be Game Center integration, too, including achievements and leaderboards. Oh, and a shop from where you can buy stuff. Like those shops in real life.

Gaijin Games is pretty close to releasing its pixelly jogger, which is looking rather spiffy (as you can tell from the screenshots in the gallery at the top of the screen).

We'll let you know once we have a more concrete release date and pricing structure for Bit.Trip Run! Honest.
