Get involved! The PG Community Round-up (02/09/13 - 16/09/13)

Every two weeks, I like to look back at the three big topics of conversation that got everyone talking over the past 14 days. And mention them here. This round-up represents the perfect opportunity for you to catch up on the latest happenings from around the world of Pocket Gamer. So, yeah, competitions you might have missed, big features we've launched. That sort of thing.

In this particular round-up, a new iPhone is discussed; a mega-guide to all those new Android micro-consoles that sit under your telly is debated; and a game featuring a man with no arms or legs gets reviewed.

Tally-ho!

The Big Three

1. Apple unveils the iPhone 5C. You respond:

No intro needed on this, as you've no doubt already read up on the newly announced iPhone 5C.

Community member Alan Shearer (surely not...?) simply wrote (in reference to the "beautifully, unapologetically plastic" casing and 'Swiss cheese' cover): "THAT CASE!! MY EYES!!"

Rasec Cat stated: "I must say the 5S looks cool but no need to upgrade from my iPhone 5." I think that might be a widely held opinion, Rasec.

RockinIt summed up his thinking towards the 5C and top-of-the-range 5S thus: "It's not really much a of a decision for me, definitely 5S. I think the colours will appeal to some, like Cosmo readers and footy fans." Yikes.

2. Rayman Legends is missing a bunch of levels at launch:

The Vita version of Rayman Legends is missing the Invasion levels out of the box. They will, however, be patched in at a later date.

Michael David piped up: "Shame about the missing levels, but after how great Origins was to play on Vita, I'll still be getting the Vita version."

S4ndm4n87 noted that it was "good news that the levels are coming."

Contest Chris offered an educated guess as to why the levels may be missing: "the issue with the Invasion levels may be they are too fast and the Vita can't keep up." This could well be the case. We'll find out in due course, I'm sure.

Interestingly, AcesHigh took this stance on the topic: "... BUT, is it really *missing* 28 levels? The original trailers for the home console versions say that Rayman Legends has 120 levels. However, if you take a look at the announcement trailer for the Vita version, it states 90+ levels! That's been they case from day one, no?"

3. We rounded up all the Android micro-consoles and plonked them into one handy guide:

There are so many Android-powered consoles coming out that we just had to create a guide for you. You were quick to comment on the feature with some of your own thoughts.

Swallowfire mentioned that "I love my Shield. Playing proper PC games while sitting outside in the garden is incredible. My only complaint is how awkward the screen is to touch while trying to hold the damn thing."

Bhavukjain was also positive about Shield: "I believe the Shield will be the best one. Playing PC games on a console, what can be better than that?"

"I can't understand the need for any of these devices" mr_bez said, mind. "If you want to play mobile games with physical controls, get a controller for your Android phone (or for your iPhone in a week or two)."

Get stuck in!
