You can't see it happening, but right now I'm shaking my booty to some popular music tracks. My iPad is picking up the booty shakes and rating them.

It's like being at a nightclub. Except no one is trying to spike my drink or punch me.

And that's all thanks to Sega's new iOS game Go Dance. It's all about 'going' and 'dancing', as you can probably tell from the name.

Let's dance

But rather than just going and dancing, you need to download the app and use your iPad or iPhone to sort of film your dancing.

It's like Kinect for the Xbox, but more convenient and slightly less creepy.

You can't just perform your own favourite dance moves, though. Instead, you have to execute regimented dance moves, wiggling bits of your body at just the right time so that the frowny faces don't appear on your screen.

Go Dance comes with two 'songs' by Nicki Minaj and LMFAO. So, if you like them, that's good. If you don't, well, tough.

You can, of course, buy more tracks with real-world cash. Assuming you have any money. Some of the 'tracks' you can buy include 'music' from 'humans' such as Avicii and Flo Rida (featuring Sia).

If you don't care about music or dancing or fun but you love tech, then you might be interested to know that the technology powering the dance recording is made by Extreme Realities and is called Extreme Motion.

I'm doing extreme motions at it now, but the game is just beeping. I think I've upset it.

You can buy Go Dance for £1.49 / $1.99 from the App Store right now.
