Would you like me to lie to you, and tell you that it looks fantastic on the Nintendo 3DS eShop this week?

Well, I can't, sorry. As it turns out, it's looking pretty awful on the eShop, with plenty of titles that you'd blatantly never pick up in a million years.

There are a few sales, but even those aren't really worth checking out. Oh well.

Let's get this out of the way quickly then, shall we?

European eShop releases

Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is a fun, sprawling Japanese RPG that launched last year in the US, and earlier this year in Europe.

You can now pick it up digitally, but with that whopping £34.99 price tag, I'd suggest hunting it down at retail, instead.

Darts Up 3D is a darts game for £2.69, and Mahjong 3D - Essentials is a mahjong game for £2.99. You'll notice I rushed through those, and that's because frankly, you won't be picking them up.

Pinball: Revenge of the Gator is your Virtual Console game of the week - a pinball sim back from the days of the Game Boy, now priced at £2.69.

And there's a demo for the classic adventure game MYST now ready for download. See, I told you this week was a bit pap.

US eShop releases

The US store ain't much better. Sorry Americans.

Besides Darts Up 3D for $2.99, there's Sonic Generations for $29.99, which you should avoid, and Boulder Dash-XL 3D, which isn't too shabby, truth be told.

Nothing new that's worth bothering with, mind. Even the Virtual Console release for this week is a bit of an oddball - it's Summer Carnival '92 RECCA, a top-down shooter that'll set you back $4.99.

Next week will be better, I promise.
