PlayJam's GameStick was previously said to be launching in the UK in June. Obviously, that didn't happen. And that wasn't the first or last time the Android console was delayed, either.

The last thing anyone heard from PlayJam regarding the release of GameStick was that it was expected to be shipped to the Kickstarter backers by mid-September.

Now, according to store listings on Amazon and GameStop, the GameStick will launch worldwide for everyone else on September 30th. PlayJam hasn't announced this date publicly, we should note.

If you need a recap, the GameStick is a tiny console that looks like a USB stick. You plug into the HDMI port on your TV, and a controller syncs up using bluetooth.

The launch line-up includes R-Type, Riptide GP, Ski Safari, Gunslugs, Towelfight 2: The Monocle of Destiny, and Reckless Getaway, among others.

GameStick was available to pre-order from GAME back in April at £79.99, and the retailer has exclusive rights to sell it the UK when it launches. Meanwhile, the US price of the console appears to be $79.99.
