The launch of the Vita version of Rayman Origins follow-up Rayman Legends has been delayed in Europe, Ubisoft tells Pocket Gamer. This means it won't be released until September 13th.

In a statement, a Ubi spokesperson said that the game has been pushed back from its August 30th release date "in order to apply the final level of polish gamers expect from a Rayman game".

The Vita version of this hotly anticipated platformer will boast unique touchpad controls, five bonus maps, and two bonus costumes.

All the other editions - which includes versions for PC, PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360 - of Rayman Legends will be available on August 30th in the UK.

The game has already picked up some mightily impressive review scores, with Eurogamer calling it "one of the greatest platform games of this, or any, year" and handing it a perfect 10.
