Not happy with the situation, Joan breaks out, grabs a bunch of guns, and destroys everything in her way.
Project Joan's titular character isn't too far removed from Sarah Connor in Terminator 2, then. She's a tough woman with an affinity for guns and violence, in other words.
The game wrapped around her bloody break out of jail is a run-and-gunner with characterful, high-detail pixel-art. Honestly, the game's look is reason enough to get excited.
Joan runs across the screen automatically, so you just have to worry about 'swiping' her up and down three tiers; avoiding hazards; and blasting enemies with knives, shotguns, pistols, rifles, and lasers.
Project Joan will be released on the App Store once it's finished, though we don't know exactly when that will be. Keep your eyes on our site for more details.
