HeroCraft announces new trading card-based Warhammer 40,000 game for iOS and Android

Pocket gaming fans of the Warhammer 40,000 franchise have cause for celebration today.

That's because Russian mobile gaming outfit HeroCraft has just announced that its developing a Warhammer 40,000 game for iOS, Android, and PC.

Entitled Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf, this forthcoming trading card-centric title is - surprise, surprise - a tactical turn-based affair.

Don't fret, though: you'll still get to push the hulking Space Marines around in 3D environments. It's just that the battles are all managed through decks of cards.

You can go down the path of Grey Hunter, Wolf Scout, Blood Claw, or Wolf Guard, and experience branching storylines, fighting the typical enemies of the Space Wolves.

You'll also be able to build your own decks, unlock more powerful cards through victory, and evolve your cards at the Iron Priest's Forge.

Expect Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf to surface on iOS and Android at some point in 2014.
