Foxy boxing - Europe to receive digital and retail release of bouncy 3DS brawler Senran Kagura Burst

In a refreshing change of pace, 3DS gamers in Europe won't have to wait long to feast their eyes on the fan service fest that is Senran Kagura Burst.

Announced earlier in the week for digital release in North America, the bouncy brawler will jiggle its way to Europe sometime in the first quarter of 2014 thanks to publisher MAQL Europe.

Unlike the digital-only release coming to the US, however, the European release will be available as an eShop download and as a boxed version available at retail stores.

Ninjas ninjas everywhere

Senran Kagura Burst is a high-speed beat 'em up that follows the story of five young girls trying to hack it at rival ninja academies.

After the girls slash their way through levels of arcade-style brawling fun, cutscenes between stages will unfold in a visual novel style meant to appeal to fans of Japanese games.

Also in an attempt to cater to these fans, Senran Kagura Burst features a signature battle damage system that has bits of a girl's clothing fly off when they're hit by an enemy.

We'd say this effect is understated and realistic, but then we'd be lying. Don't believe us? Take a look at the bouncing anatomy in the trailer below and see for yourself.

Jests and jiggles aside, Senran Kagura Burst is also known for its complex fighting system that will challenge fans of traditional beat 'em ups.

If this sounds like the sort of game you'd like on your 3DS, keep checking in here and we'll provide you with a release date once we have it.
