Help a claymation robot save humanity in stop-motion puzzler Droidscape: Basilica

The electropunk future has arrived in unique puzzle game Droidscape: Basilica, - and it's available with a 50 percent discount for the first week.

That price bags you a unique vision of the future, which has been masterfully hand-crafted with clay models and stop-motion animation, giving the game a distinctive sci-fi look.

But don't be fooled into thinking that Droidscape is hiding poor gameplay behind a visual distraction.

This is a challenging and engaging puzzle game that will punish mistakes like the power-hungry Ecclesiarchy punishes humanity in the game's dark fiction.

Droidscape: Basilica

You play a rather cute droid by the name of Bishop 7 who has been sent out into the guts of the Basilica space station by the imprisoned last living member of the Chronomancers.

Each stage is split into two parts. First, you'll draw a path from the entrance to the exit, ensuring to pick up the score-raising gems and keycards needed to open doors along the way.

Once you're happy with your path, the next task is to slide the bar at the bottom of the screen to move Bishop 7 along the path. You'll want to dodge patrolling drones and deadly intermittent lasers that block the way, of course.

Heads up

Those with an iPad 2, iPhone 4S, or iPod touch 5 (or newer) can also try out the game's experimental "HeadTwister" tech, that allows you to play a portion of the game without your hands.

Rather than sliding the bar with your finger, the camera tracks turns of your head, so physically facing left and right performs the same action as using your finger would otherwise.

Altogether it's a rather unique package and presented with a distinctive style. If you're intrigued by Droidscape: Basilica, now would be the best time to throw some pennies as it's currently 69p / 99c.
