Will it be the prince, the tourist, or the vampire? (And the winner is...)

[Update] The PG Readers' iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed
|
Updated on July 29th at 12:40: This week's winner is Sky Tourist.

This gorgeous-looking game from Three Legged Egg is all about guiding an intrepid space explorer through a series of mazes, collecting souvenirs and gold as you go.

The twist is our brave adventurer is suspended on a rope between two rockets at either side of the screen.

You move your thumbs up and down the screen to control these engines, sliding the astronaut up and down the rope as you do.

It's a good-looking fun little game and a well-deserved winner of this week's poll. You can download Sky Tourist from the App Store as a Universal app for 69p / 99c [buy].

Every week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to find the diamonds in the rough is no easy task, let us assure you.

We like to think we do a pretty good job with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, expert reviews, and comprehensive features, mind.

But, now we want to know what YOU think.

Today, we're going to ask you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android from the past week (from the nominations below), and then we'll announce the winner in a glamorous article next Monday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment at the bottom of this article; answer the poll on Facebook; or use black magic to conjure up a fell demon and carve your answer in the firmament.

The nominations
Riptide GP 2 (iPad, iPhone, Android) Splishy splashy jet ski racing sequel in which you thrash over the waves in a series of exciting and rather damp events.
Bloodmasque (iPad, iPhone) Gothic Infinity Blade clone in which you take on a cabal of fearsome vampires. You can scan your face into this game, too. For lulz. Or not.
Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame (iPad, iPhone, Android) A swanky revamp of the second Prince of Persia game. Jump over pits, dodge spikes, and stab skeletons in the back while wearing parachute pants.
Spaceteam (iPad, iPhone, Android) Android version of the brilliant same-room multiplayer button pusher. Plus, it's cross compatible with iOS devices.
Sky Tourist (iPad, iPhone) Clever platform-puzzler hybrid in which you drag a cute spaceman around on a wire connected to two rockets.
