Fishlabs's Galaxy on Fire 2 HD has been available on a few select Android devices for a while.
Earlier today, though, the Hamburg-based studio opened up its space epic to a much larger 'droid-based audience by launching a version of it on Google Play compatible with devices running Android 3.0 and above.
While the main Galaxy on Fire 2 game won't cost you a thing, you will have to fork out for the two expansion packs, Valkyrie and Supernova, via in-app purchases.
Saying that, the main campaign does boast ten+ hours of Silver Award-winning space combat across 30 different star systems. So, yeah, not bad going for free.
After downloading the two expansions, you can expect another 10-20 hours of gameplay. There is, to put it mildly, a lot of content here.
And if you get lost at any point, you can always use our handy guide to the game, which is chock-full of helpful hints, tips, and tricks. Oh, and it's pretty darn gorgeous, too.
You can grab Galaxy on Fire 2 HD for free [download] from the Google Play Store right now. And we reckon you probably should. I mean, you've waited long enough.
