Have you ever rebooted your iPhone or accidentally deleted Angry Birds from your iPad and inadvertently lost every single one of those gold stars you worked so hard to earn?

I know. I wanted to rip my own hair out, too.

Thankfully, those days could be over. Both the iOS and Android versions of the original Angry Birds (and The Croods) now feature Rovio Account support. This enables you to save your hard-earned progress in 'the cloud'.

A Rovio Account will also keep your progress synced across your multiple devices. This means you can complete Poached Eggs on your smartphone, and jump straight into Mighty Hoax when you fire up Angry Birds on your tablet.

To open a Rovio Account, fire up Angry Birds on your favourite iOS or Android device and tap the passport-like icon on the game's main menu.

Now, follow the on-screen instructions, entering your email address and any other personal information at the appropriate time.

Verify your email address and hey presto! You can start flinging birds around.

You can download Angry Birds for your iPhone for 69p / 99c [buy], for your iPad for £1.99 / $2.99 [buy], and for Android blowers for nowt [download].
