Pre-orders now open

Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl is coming to North America on October 1

Atlus USA announced a launch date and pricing for Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl for North American JRPG fans.

The revamped remake of the original Etrian Odyssey will be available at retail locations and via the eShop at a price of $39.99 (~£26.50) on October 1.

Etrian Odyssey Untold will have two main gameplay modes: Story and Classic. In Story Mode, you'll be able play through a story based loosely on the original Etrian Odyssey using five predetermined characters, each with their own personalities and backstories.

If you're in the mood for a more vintage first-person RPG experience, you can jump into the Classic Mode which allows you to create your own party from scratch.

Studio Madhouse, whom Atlus used to create the opening movie for Persona 4 Golden, will return to create the opening cinematic for Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl, which will also feature voiceovers, animated story cutscenes, and an option for orchestral background music.

There's no word yet on a European release date for Millennium Girl, or any pre-order bonuses which Atlus has been so fond of lately, but we'll update you if either of these should change.
