It's definitely a mixed bag this week in terms of new digital content for Sony's PS Vita.

There's just one new full-price release in the UK, which is disappointing to say the least.

Still, there are a couple of new PlayStation Mobile titles and a bunch of discounted Vita titles to tide you over to next week.

Happy gaming.

Full-price releases

Disappointingly, there's only a single full-price PSN release in the UK this week.

It's called History Legends of War: Patton, and it's a WW2-set turn-based strategy title that's brimming with tactics and RPG elements. It'll set you back £24.99. It's also out in the US, where it will cost $23.99.

Sony has added five new full-price titles to PSN in the US, however.

Alongside History Legends of War, there's the rather strange Aabs Animals, which is an "animal entertainment" package that doesn't have targets or goals.

Instead, for $4.99, it allows you to "love" animals, and take photos of their cute little faces with augmented-reality backgrounds.

There's also Coconut Dodge Revitalized, which is a pretty entertaining title for $2.99.

In this one, you try to avoid coconuts and navigate airborne mazes, collecting enough treasures to earn a spot on the game's leaderboards along the way.

The safety of the world of Chima is once again at stake. In LEGO Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey ($29.99) you guide a brave lion and his various friends as they battle it out with a power-hungry villain known as Cragger.

Total Recoil, which was released in the UK last week, is now also available in the US for $2.49.

Unfortunately, it's probably a bit rubbish. We gave the iOS version of this twin-stick shooter a disappointing 5/10 at review, after all.

DLC-wise in the UK, there's some free extra content for Soul Sacrifice, and tons of new 59p sticker packs for Paint Park Plus.

There are three new downloadable table packs for Pinball Arcade in both the UK and US.

PlayStation Plus games and offers

There are a couple of discounted PS Vita titles for US-based PS Plus subscribers this week.

There's Silent Hill: Book Of Memories, for example, which is now $7.50; and LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, which is just $5.

PlayStation Mobile releases

Keep moving if you live in the US, there's nothing for you to see here.

In the UK, on the other hand, there's Tokyo Jungle - a clever survive-'em-up in which you help an animal survive in a post-apocalyptic version of Japan that's overrun with other animals.

This involves hunting, eating, and, erm, reproducing. It's £2.39.

There's also MechHit, which is £1.39.

General offers

Not a PS Plus survivor? Fear not: there are plenty of discounts for you too.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty HD and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD are now $14.99 (rather than $19.99) a pop on PS Vita.

The complete Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will set you back $29.99 instead of $34.99.

Shin Megami Tensei Persona 2: Innocent Sin is now $19.99, while Retro City Rampage has been reduced to just $4.99.

Those are the best titles in the sale. You can see the rest, here.
