What's your highscore in our Zen Pinball competition? Need to push it even higher?

You can always get more points in pinball, but you'll need some inside knowledge to up your game from amateur status to pro competitor.

That's why we turned to Bobby Loertscher, the community manager at Zen Studios, for ten top tips for all of our Zen Pinball Gamer X players.

So if you need help improving your skills on the Sorcerer's Lair table (or with Zen Pinball in general) take a look at the hints and tricks below.

1. As with any pinball table - aim for the flashing lanes. It's easy to get distracted by everything going on, but if you can get a few combos, your score will just keep going up. 2. Keep an eye on the dot matrix display - it gives vital information about missions and goals. 3. To activate kickbacks, simply light the letters that spell GHOST, once for the left side and again for the right side. If you lose a ball these kickbacks won’t reset - you’ll get to keep them for the next ball. 4. Whisper (a helpful ghost) offers several random awards, so hit the Whisper Sinkhole (left) a total of 4 times to get an award. 5. Extra balls can be acquired several ways: Make a six-way combo, get it as a random gift from Whisper, earn one by getting a 10x multiplier, or by making 10 Elusion Mastery combos. 6. Collect as much Obsidian as possible. You can get these by finishing certain modes / goals. Each stone multiplies your score by an additional half at the end of the game. Collect all 13 to get yet another bonus. 7. There are thee multiball modes in Sorcerer's Lair. Once activated, don't panic! It can be overwhelming at first, but just do your best to keep the balls in play and aim for anything on the table that flashes. 8. There are lots of missions and modes to unlock, keep playing and exploring the table to activate different modes and rack up points. 9. If you make it all the way to Midnight Madness (Wizard Mode) you'll need to hit as many ramps and orbits as you can before the time runs out. 10. Still stumped? Check out the table guide. Each table has an in-game guide that can be found in the pause menu. Good luck, pinball wizards! There you have it: ten top tips from the best. Reckon you can smash out a top score? Head on over to our Gamer X competition for Zen Pinball, show the world how great you are, and win amazing prizes!
