It's rare that the first thing that strikes you about an iOS game is the controls, but that's certainly the case with Eccentricity's Dive for Treasures, which is out now on the App Store.

The game is, as you might expect, all about diving for treasures. You're in control of a bright yellow submarine and it's up to you to bob and weave your way through undersea crags and outcrops to grab the loot.

You control your little sub with two wheels, one to control your depth and one to control your direction.

Swiping the depth wheel to the right makes you descend and swiping it to the left makes you ascend, while swiping left or right on the direction wheel heads you off that way.

There are rockets that fire upwards or out from the front of your sub if you get into any difficulty with the pirates that are also scouring the sea bed for the same treasure.

Obviously your ship is upgradeable, and there are in-app purchases if you want to fill your coffers and get the best stuff first.

With plenty of levels to work your way through and a gorgeous cartoon style there's certainly a lot to like about Dive for Treasures. If you like the sound of that, the game is out on the App Store right now for £1.49 / $1.99.
