Not a lot to see this week

It ain't looking great on the Nintendo 3DS eShop this week. There's barely any new stuff, and what is here is hardly going to set your world on fire.

That goes double for the sale as well, it's a lot of hot air. Still, you may well find something worth grabbing, especially if you only got your Nintendo 3DS recently.

The Sega push on the Virtual Console continues as well, just in case you want to relive your Game Gear years.

Onwards to the fortress of Nintenditude.

European eShop releases

Project X Zone is a crossover tactical RPG, featuring characters from Namco Bandai, Capcom, and Sega games. It's got characters from Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Mega Man, Tekken, Space Channel 5, Darkstalkers... and the list goes on.

I'm about to start playing this evening, with a review on the way soon, so if you'd rather not fork out the £27.99 asking price yet, watch out for that.

If you've got young kids, Dress To Play: Magic Bubbles! might be right up their alley. £3.59 is the asking price for this dressing-up / Bust-a-Move mash-up.

And if you've never picked up Mighty Switch Force before, it's a mere £3.59 this week, down from the usual £5.39. Grab it.

Onto the Virtual Console, aka the Sega Game Gear zone. Sonic Drift 2 is out this week for £3.59, while Vampire: Master of Darkness is £4.49. Meanwhile, G-LOC: Air Battle costs £3.59.

US eShop releases

Deer Hunting King is a hunting game, as you can probably guess. Looking at screenshots, it's all rather amateur, and my gut says it's probably not very good. $4.99 if you're interested, though.

Fishdom H2O: Hidden Odyssey is a hidden object game set underwater. It costs $4.99 if you want to go hunting through the fishes.

There's a demo for Crazy Construction, a game about stacking objects of all shapes and sizes on top of each other to create as tall a tower as possible. The full game costs $4.99.

You Americans also get a ton of Sega Game Gear titles, including Sonic Drift 2 ($3.99), Vampire Master of Darkness ($4.99) and G-LOC Air Battle ($3.99).

To finish up, there's some games on sale. Mighty Switch Force is just $3.99 right now (get it!), while Order Up!! is $4.99, and Planet Crashers is $4.99. Do not grab the latter, it's rubbish.

Back again next week.
