Several Android developers have decided to slash the prices of their award-winning apps, and offer select in-game currencies and items at reduced prices for a limited time.

Head on over to Google Play right this second, and you'll find Gold Award-winning tower-defence title Anomaly Korea, Silver Award-winning RPG Final Fantasy III, and Bronze Award-winning puzzler 10000000 on sale.

Classic side-scrolling shoot-'em-up R-Type, Reckless Racing 2, and colourful platformer Granny Smith are cheaper than they normally are, too.

Inside out

As mentioned above, a couple of different Android developers are offering cheap or exclusive in-game content and currencies.

There's an exclusive Google Play-branded ball and a 30 percent sale on other "gear" in PBA Bowling Challenge, for example, and a bunch of "time-limited exclusive content" in Tiny Monsters.

You can, for a limited time, also unlock a new beach-themed quest, an extremely rare fish, and an exclusive Android decoration in Nemo's Reef.

Finally, there's a special Google Play helmet and 50 percent off in-game purchases in Dungeon Hunter 4, and extra content in most of Subway Surfers's downloadable bundles.
