Independent developer Ricardo Moura (otherwise known as Once a Bird) has just released an interesting-looking iPhone puzzler called Fold.

Fire up one of Fold's stages and you're presented with numerous long streams of connected blocks, which come in various lengths, arrangements, and - most importantly - colours.

Your aim, then, is to tap these coloured streams in turn, causing them to fold in on themselves until only a single block of each colour remains on-screen.

Naturally, this is a lot harder than it sounds.

Some streams cross one another, for example. Others, meanwhile, are broken, and must first be expanded and repaired before they can be deleted.

The long and short

You can download Fold and play through half of its levels completely free of charge.

If you enjoy these taster stages, you can unlock everything Fold has to offer via a single 69p / 99c in-app purchase.

Check out the video below to see Fold in action. Then, head on over to the App Store and add it to your collection.
