Ten-hut!! Listen up, soldier!

Gameloft has just deployed the "Meltdown" update for Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour on iOS. And it's a big one. A ruddy big one.

You can now fight the good fight on three new maps (Fracture, Extraction, and Backfire) based around the streets of Barcelona and an Antarctic Research Facility.

To help you keep fighting that good fight in Gameloft's Bronze Award-winning FPS, you now have access to the SFS-CTK 12 Special Forces Sniper Rifle and the 40mm Thor Grenade Launcher Pistol.

Yes, you heard that right. A grenade... launcher... pistol.

On top of all those new weapons and maps, Gameloft has included a couple of new multiplayer modes in Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour.

In Bomb Squad mode, you will have to plant a bomb and make sure it goes off before the defenders can defuse it. In Destruction mode, meanwhile, you have to sabotage a series of devices. Should be easy enough.

That's not all, mind. Gameloft has also added some "demolition" specialisation with seven new perks, including Ammo Pack, Dedication, and Readied Shot.

If you fancy yourself as an elite soldier, go and download the updated Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour for £4.99 / $6.99 right now from the App Store. Good luck, private.
