Mojang begins slow rollout of multiplayer server slots for Minecraft - Pocket Edition

A couple of weeks ago, we reported that Mojang had released the alpha version of Minecraft Realms in version 0.7.0 of Minecraft - Pocket Edition.

In these subscription-based multiplayer Realms, you will be able to play with friends for a monthly fee of $10 - $15 (approximately £7 - £10).

Well, good news, Minecrafters: Mojang has just begun to release Minecraft Realms server slots.

One problem. Unless you're some sort of super-quick Realm-reserving ninja, you're probably not going to get one any time soon.

Mojang is currently releasing the Realms in batches of 100. Guess what? Yep, they're being snapped up quicker than you can say "hey, playing Minecraft - Pocket Edition with my friends would be awesome!"

This is all part of a cunning plan on Mojang's part to ensure that the multiplayer Realms are stable and bug free before letting every man and his Minecraft-obsessed dog leap on them to co-operatively build awesome and disturbing stuff.

If you are interested in being one of the first to have your own Minecraft Realm, it's probably worth following Mojang's Amir Moulavi on Twitter. He seems to be the one announcing when the batches are going live.

Hopefully, it shouldn't be too long before everyone can have his own Realm. Until then, be patient, fair crafter.
