A new challenge awaits.

Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl coming to 3DS in the US this fall

If you're a fan of the Etrian Odyssey series, then you'll be pleased to know that the latest instalment in the first person RPG series will be available this fall, on Nintendo 3DS.

Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl will offer players the chance to dive into two full-length experiences.

For one, you'll be able to enjoy a story mode that will take you on a quest to find out the truth behind the Yggdrasil Tree, and the mysterious girl, Frederica.

On your journey you'll take control of one of five unique characters, each with their own individual personalities and dialogue, to explore a side of Etria not seen in the first game.

If you're craving a more vintage adventure, you'll be able to jump into classic mode and experience an updated version of the original Etrian Odyssey.

Both modes will feature the new Grimoire Stone system which will allow you to collect, synthesise, and equip Grimoire Stones in order to hybridise your party and excel in combat. Hopefully that's as cool as it sounds.

Etrian Odyssey Untold aims to be much more than just a simple remake. It will take full advantage of the 3DS's power to provide animated story and opening cutscenes, voiceovers, and the option for orchestrated background music.

There will also be new difficulty settings designed to ease in unfamiliar players, or provide veterans with a new challenge.

Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl will hit shelves in North America this fall, and will launch simultaneously on the Nintendo eShop for 3DS.

What do you call someone who has an unhealthy obsession with video games and Sean Bean? That'd be a 'Chris Kerr'. Chris is one of those deluded souls who actually believes that one day Sean Bean will survive a movie. Poor guy.
