Updated on June 13th at 10:00: Crush has popped up on the Google Play Store now. Android gamers can pick it up for 69p [buy].

And to celebrate the game's release, four of Radiangames's other titles - Fireball SE, Ballistic SE, Inferno+, and Slydris - are now on sale on the App Store for 69p / 99c.

Original story follows...

Sometimes it's the simplest ideas that create the most difficult gameplay. That's certainly the case with Crush from Radiangames.

It's a simple puzzle game that sees you trying to clear an ever-growing stack of blocks by matching them in groups of two or more.

All you have to do is tap the blocks to clear them. But clearing blocks piles more on. You need to choose to clear the blocks that are going to buy you the most time, but it's not always that easy.

There are power-ups to unlock that help you clear blocks more effectively. The powers act as extra-lives too, but get burnt up in the process.

Crush is an unashamedly tough little game, boasting that if you last more than a couple of minutes you're doing well.

The game has a distinctive visual style that you can tweak with different background colours, and it's created by the developer behind Slydris, which won a Silver Award last year.

If you're looking for a novel take on some age-old puzzling mechanics, you should keep an eye out for Crush, which is hitting the App Store tonight. It's a Universal app and will set you back 69p / 99c.
