E3 2013: Nintendo hopes you're ready to feel the burn, confirms Wii Fit Trainer Girl for Super Smash Bros

It turns out that Nintendo had one more surprise up its sleeve for Super Smash Bros.

Following the announcement that Mega Man and an Animal Crossing villager would join the star-studded cast of combatants, Nintendo revealed that the Wii Fit Trainer Girl would also be available as a playable character.

No, seriously.

We thought the announcement was a bit of a yank on our collective chain at first, so we confirmed it with Nintendo on the floor of E3 and - yes, the Wii Fit Trainer Girl will be playable in both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game.

And strettttch

The Wii Fit Trainer Girl is both loved and hated by Wii Fit enthusiasts for her cool, robotic demeanor and her unflappable ability to do any sort of stretch or exercise better than most players can.

She'll bring that level of fitness to Super Smash Bros, and we've learned that all of her moves will be "fitness based".

We that hope your body is ready - Super Smash Bros will be out on the 3DS and Wii U next year. Until then, you can see her in action below.
