Here we sow again - Harvest Moon: A New Beginning confirmed for release in Europe

There's great news ahead for farm-loving 3DS owners in Europe - Harvest Moon: A New Beginning will arrive sometime this year.

A New Beginning is the first original Harvest Moon title to make its way to the 3DS, following in the footsteps of the re-release of the Silver Award-winning The Tale of Two Towns.

Many European fans of the Harvest Moon franchise were starting to worry that A New Beginning wouldn't take root in Europe, as it was released in Japan in February 2012 and came to the US in November of the same year.

In our review, we noted that A New Beginning was a bit slow to start but once you "slog your way through" the beginning you'll "discover that Harvest Moon magic hidden underneath".

Indeed, A New Beginning offers tons of customization options that allow you to change the appearance of your character and farm. You can also plant new crops and raise new animals while engaging in the same old fun of chasing after your preferred bachelor/bachelorette.

Unfortunately, we don't have a firm release date past "Q3 2013" but we'll keep you updated just as soon as we know more.
