There are a lot of PS3 games we'd love to see make the brief journey across to the PS Vita.

I mean, it's not as though the Vita is short of great games. No, it's more that some PS3 classics would just work brilliantly on Sony's handheld.

One such PS3 gem is Flower, thatgamecompany's slow-paced, beautiful slice of natural exploration. Any game in which you get to play as the wind receives our backing.

According to IGN, our wish to play Flower on Sony's portable powerhouse is going to come true, for a Vita port of Flower has turned up on a list of games that are going to be playable at this year's IndieCade booth at E3.

By the looks of it, this new portable version of Flower has been tweaked and pruned a bit in the four years since it blossomed on PSN.

"Using simple touch or motion controls, the player guides the lead petal and accumulates a swarm of flower petals as he moves at his own pace within the environment, causing the on-screen world to change," the press blurb for this Vita version of Flower reads.

So, it looks like the game has been reworked for the Vita's various control inputs, and that you'll be able to swipe and tilt your way through Flower's gorgeous, unique world.

Neither a release date nor pricing has been confirmed for Flower on Vita yet, but we'll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything more.

And who knows: if Flower is heading to the PS Vita, maybe thatgamecompany's absorbing, esoteric wanderer Journey won't be far behind. Let's all cross our fingers.
