It's official! You'll be able to play (almost) every PS4 game on your Vita

Back in February during Sony's official PlayStation 4 media event, Gaikai's David Perry announced that the PS Vita would become the PS4's "ultimate companion device".

He wasn't lying.

Following reports from Eurogamer, Sony president Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed on Twitter that almost every PlayStation 4 title will feature Remote Play functionality.

In fact, unless a game requires specific hardware (such as the PS4 Eye) to function, its developer must include Remote Play features.

It's mandatory, in other words.

This is it

For the technophobes among you, Sony's Remote Play service enables you to stream a game over wi-fi from your PS3 / PS4 to your PS Vita, and to use your handheld device as a makeshift controller.

Remote Play-compatible titles are few and far between, mind. Maybe that'll change after today's announcement, though, eh.
