LG confirms white Nexus 4, but rules out any further Nexus partnership with Google
|

With rumours of a new edition of the Google Nexus 4 swirling across the interweb, South Korean manufacturer LG has gone ahead and made a quick announcement of its own.

The new Nexus 4 - made for Google by LG - won't come with Android 4.3, LTE 4G, or even any more storage space. It will simply be the current phone... in a white case.

Wow, indeed.

So, yeah, not quite what we hoped for. Still, the Nexus 4 is a fantastically priced phone with plenty of power on tap.

What's more, Nexus 4 owners will be among the first to get an update to their devices once The Big G does finally unveil the next version of the Android OS.

However, it can't be that long until Google does refresh its Nexus line, and the Nexus 4 may become less of a bargain once it's been replaced with something more powerful.

Whatever the case, it doesn't look as though LG will be involved in its production.

In an interview published on All About Phones, Wom Kim, VP of LG Mobile in Europe, said: "The Nexus 4 was a great success despite the production problems for us and Google. However we do not need such a marketing success again."
