War Balloon Games has updated its excellent Game Dev Story-esque starship simulation Star Command with a couple of new features.

If you've been struggling to repel the boarding parties that constantly attempt to invade your ship throughout your Star Trek-inspired adventure, you'll probably be pleased to read that Star Command now features a Beginner difficulty level.

If, on the other hand, you've been gliding through space with ease, the fact that you can now unlock larger ships and a "Heavy" difficulty level should be music to your ears.

If you begin a new game after downloading this update, you'll be handed three extra tokens (15 in total) free of charge. You can use these tokens to recruit crew members and upgrade your ship's rooms.

Speaking of recruits, you can now carry more crew members on board your ship, too.

If you've already paid for Star Command, you can download this update for free. If you haven't, you can grab the latest version of Star Command from the App Store for £1.99 / $2.99 now.
