Shenandoah Studio has just issued a pretty hefty update to its Silver Award-winning iPad historical strategy title Battle of the Bulge.

The meat of the update is the "End Game" scenario, which will cost you £2.49 / $3.99. In this particular scenario, you can play on either side of the historically accurate counter-attack launched by George Patton that relieved the siege of Bastogne.

The second scenario pack included in this newly issued update is a free IAP called "Luck of the Draw". This resets the Battle of the Bulge campaign with a random setup and a different reinforcement schedule, enabling you to play an historically inaccurate version of events.

Elsewhere in the update, there are two new AI opponents: one for the members of the Axis and one for the Allies. These will cost you £1.49 / $1.99 each.

Omar Bradley for the Allies is a "careful and relentless" general, while Hasso Von Manteuffel "throws the usual Axis playbook out the window".

To round off the content update package, Shenandoah Studio has included one further free pack. With this pack, you can fight to the bitter end. Oh, and drawn battles become a distinct possibility.

At review, we stated that the action in Battle of the Bulge is "as cold, brutal, and unforgiving as the titular conflict". Furthermore, we said that "it's also one of the top choices for hardcore iPad strategists".

If this extra content is enough to make you think Battle of the Bulge is worth a go, you can grab it from the App Store for £6.99 /$9.99 right this second.
