Kairosoft adds farming and pirateering games to its management-sim library

We'll say one thing about the members of the Kairosoft team: they're a prolific bunch.

Not content to sit back and reap the rewards of popular pixel-art efforts like Game Dev Story and Grand Prix Story, the Japanese developer continues to crank out management sims like they're going out of fashion.

During the past couple of months, the Kairosoft boys have released two new games into the wild. And by 'wild', we mean the dev's Android gaming centre Kairo Park.

Avast, me hearties

The first of these two games is a pirate-themed adventure, the title of which can be roughly translated into English as Great Pirate Quest Island.

From the looks of things, you manage the flow of resources to and from your island's port. There's also plenty of fighting and skulduggery involving monsters, and, of course, pirates.

The latest game to hit Kairo Park, however, is a farming sim. This one bears the poorly translated title Firmament Hectare Farm. We doubt that'll stick if Kairosoft plans on launching it in English-speaking territories.

As you'd imagine, this one's all about growing crops. You have to cultivate the best veggies, and then show them off to visiting tourists for kudos.

At this point, we don't know if or when these two games will go global. It took Ninja Village, for example, a couple of months to make the transition from Japanese to English.

However, not all Kairosoft games follow the same localisation schedule, so we'll just have to wait and see.
