Bad taste goes mobile in House of the Dead: Overkill - The Lost Reels

Sega's madcap zombie shooter House of the Dead: Overkill -The Lost Reels is set to lurch onto the App Store at midnight tonight.

Described as a "remixed" version of both the PS3 and Wii versions of House of the Dead: Overkill, this mobile episode of the joyfully tasteless series (zombie strippers, anyone?) contains three familiar worlds crammed with rotting antagonists.

Your favourite heroes return, too. Boot up the game, and you'll find yourself reunited with Isaac Washington, Varla Guns, and the rest of the trash-talking team.

Shooting in House of the Dead: Overkill - The Lost Reels is handled by either touch controls or accelerometer. Blast through the entire campaign, however, and you will unlock an additional tap-to-shoot mechanic.

If you want to upgrade your arsenal, you can use the Ka$h earned from obliterating zombies to pump up your pistol with combo extenders and reload boosters.

You'll need to part with some real currency if you're looking to download House of the Dead: Overkill - The Lost Reels, mind. £2.99 / $4.99, to be precise.

We also expect an Android version to materialise on Google Play in the very near future, so keep an eye out for that.
