As we anticipated, Frogmind's eerie auto-flier Badland will drift onto the App Store at midnight tonight.

We've been following the progress of Badland very closely ever since Frogmind unveiled the first screenshots for the game last October.

For the uninitiated, Badland is an auto-flier in which you must guide a winged ball of fuzz through a series of 2D environments.

The environments, which consist of stark silhouetted foregrounds set against colourful backgrounds, are packed with fans and other mechanical obstacles for players to overcome.

As you can tell from the game's image gallery (above), Badland is a gorgeous creation. Having gone hands-on with the game, we can also report that Badland's gameplay is as good as its visuals.

Controlling your flying furball is as simple as holding your finger on the screen. However, with power-ups that cause your character to shrink, grow, or split into mini-versions of itself, things soon become more a lot more complicated.

We can't wait for you to get your hands on Badland. It'll materialise on the UK and US App Stores at midnight tonight, priced £2.49 / $3.99.
