Exactly one month ago, the venerable publisher XSEED Games released its first mobile title Ark of the Ages onto Google Play.

Although a bit light in story, the impressive-looking 3D roleplaying game turned a lot of heads when it was released.

XSEED's name certainly didn't hurt, but Ark of the Ages also offered an interesting perspective-switching system that toggled between third-person exploration and first-person combat.

Now, this fast-paced title has made its way over to the App Store for iPad and iPhone RPG enthusiasts.

All ark, no bite

Ark of the Ages follows the quest of a nameless knight as he explores the puzzle and trap-infested Tower of Magic.

Despite its firm grounding in the realm of traditional RPGs, Ark of the Ages also adds a few distinctly mobile touches to its gameplay.

One such touch is an integrated social component where a character's strength is increased in relation to the number of friends their player has.

If you're interested in checking out XSEED's first foray into the world of mobile gaming, Ark of the Ages is available to download now for $1.99 / £1.49.
