Stop spinning and start slashing in F2P platformer Lego Ninjago - The Final Battle

The latest instalment in the popular toy tie-in series Lego Ninjago is out now for iPhone and iPad.

Whereas previous franchise entries like Rise of the Snakes and Spinjitzu Scavenger Hunt have taken the form of 3D spinning top puzzlers, Lego Ninjago - The Final Battle is an altogether different proposition.

In fact, this digital incarnation of the popular toy line has more in common with Super Crate Box and Muffin Knight than with its predecessors.

As in the other Lego Ninjago games, you assume control of a band of Lego ninjas in The Final Battle. During the game, you have to fight through a roster of plastic enemies.

Instead of spinning on the spot with your sword out, however, you'll be leaping between platforms and slashing your foes to pieces in a far more traditional fashion.

As you progress, you'll unlock a range of elemental weapons to help you disassemble attackers with greater ease. You'll need these weapons if you want to survive all six worlds... and unlock the Golden Ninja.

If you've been waiting for the Lego Ninjago franchise to stop twirling and start slashing, then The Final Battle might be the game for you. It's free to download on iPhone and iPad.
