iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed
|

Each week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to separate the wheat from the chaff is a tough job, and no mistake.

We like to think that we do a pretty good job of it with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, reviews, and features, mind.

But, we want to know what YOU think.

Today, we're asking you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android this week (from some nominations), and then we'll present that winner in an article next Monday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment on this article, reply to our Game of the Week tweet, vote on Facebook, or whisper it into a horse's ear.

The nominations
Real Racing 3 (iPhone, iPad, Android) The latest iteration of EA's popular mobile racer has come under a lot of fire for its free-to-play status and many in-app purchases. It still nabbed a Pocket Gamer Gold Award, though.
Towelfight 2: The Monocle of Destiny (iPhone, iPad, Android) How do you settle a dispute between two warring gods? You fire wild animals out of your enchanted monocle. Obviously. Yeah. Obviously.
1001 Attempts (iPhone, iPad) Dodge explosive missiles, shirk flying saw blades, keep clear of dangerous laser beams, and avoid muttering the words "just one more try" in this addictive arcade game.
Red Rusher (iPhone) A strange (but wonderful) rhythm-action title that features a unique blend of elements ripped straight from Sin City, Kill Bill, and Elite Beat Agents.
Penumbear (iPhone, iPad) Solve puzzles and escape the dark dungeons of a mysterious castle by mastering your unique ability to walk on the lines where light and shadow meet.
Cognition Episode 1 (iPad) In this point-and-click adventure, you take control of a Boston-based FBI agent who must follow the trail of four serial murders and a series of strange clues.
